Dubai Waterfront welcomes the Suhail Tower

Kuwaiti based property developers, Al Madar have this morning announced the launch of their latest residential project in Dubai, which is estimated to cost in the region of AED 1.4 billion.

The Suhail Tower, as the project will be called, is set to be located in the highly desireable Madinat Al Arab area of the Dubai Waterfront. Despite the worsening financial climate of recent months, property in the Dubai Waterfront has remained popular amongst investors who see the developer as being a key destination for growth in the emirate.

The Suhail Tower will be a 47 floor residential tower, and will offer a wide range of residential units including studios, one, two and three bedroom apartments. The top floor of the project will include a select number of exclusive penthouses.

Al Madar have given the Suhail Tower a completion date of late 2011. We will of course keep you updated regarding the progress of the development and all the main property developments in the Dubai Waterfront.

Record profits for Dubai property developer.

Damac Properties, the Middle East's largest property developer has announced a AED 500 million profit for the first nine months of the year. The figures, which were announced this morning come despite difficult trading conditions for property developers in Dubai and throughout the Middle East region.

Hussain Sajwani, the current Chairman of the Damac Properties Group went on to say " all of the projects that Damac has launched are still going ahead, but plans to expand to new territories, such as India, Pakistan and Morocco are on hold." Discussing the finances of the Damac Group, Sajwani went on to say that Damac has a total of around AED 420 million in Dubai, whilst other regions were far lower or zero.

The figures are good news for Damac, and come after a difficult couple of months which saw a number of employees being made redundant throughout their global network of offices.

Al Sidra to be launched in Qatar.

A new joint venture has been announced by Arcapita Bank, the Bahrain investment company, and the Kuwaiti Al Imtiaz Investment Group, which will see a $3.5 billion mega-project being built in Qatar.

The project, which has been named Al Sidra, will include over 3,200 residential units which will be located in the popular Lusail development in Qatar. The properties will be built around a Championship Golf course, designed by Greg Norman.

Al Sidra is the latest of a number of new property developments in Qatar, which is becoming increasingly popular with investors keen to diversify their property investment portfolios throughout the Middle East.

Property in Northern Cyprus - The Regions

Much debate has taken place recently with regards to the possible opportunities for property investment in Northern Cyprus, as investors speculate as to the likely outcome of the recent re-unification talks between the relevant authorities.
